New Media

Every day, media provide reports illustrating increasingly brutal forms of bullying, beatings and gang wars in schools. Violence is widespread in schools and most students experienced peer violence.
Statistics show that half of the students in Serbia at least once experienced violence, and even two thirds of children exposed to attacks. In 85% of cases  victims of violence do not get help by anyone. Also, research shows that 65% of students at least once, 24% more than once been exposed to some form of violent behavior over a period of 3 months (source: UNICEF).
Based on the data obtained from conclusions from the current surveys on peer violence analysed and published by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia , i.e. bullying, it can be concluded that it is necessary to start with more efficient action against all forms of violence amongst schoolchildren.
